With over 23 years of healthcare experience and 17 years specialising in Infection Prevention and Control, Marisa is a recognised leader in Infection Prevention strategy, system-wide health protection, and digital innovation in healthcare.

Her extensive career spans primary and secondary care, mental health, NHS England, ambulance services, integrated care systems, and local authority-led public health protection. She has led high-impact Infection Prevention and Control and Health Protection programmes across diverse clinical and operational environments, helping organisations reduce infection risks, strengthen compliance, and build resilience in the face of emerging threats.

A holder of a master’s degree in Infection Prevention and Control, Marisa is near completion of a Professional Doctorate degree in Health Science, blending academic excellence with practical system leadership. In addition to her consultancy work, Marisa is an educator in AI for healthcare professionals, equipping clinicians and leaders with the knowledge to adopt safe, ethical, and effective digital tools in care delivery.
